A general-purpose limit switch whose unique head structure delivers a large overtravel for smooth operation. It suits printing machines, forming machines and light industrial equipment in dry indoor stations.
WHAT MAKES THE HL SERIES
The head geometry gives every actuator a generous overtravel allowance. Striker overshoot is absorbed inside the travel reserve, so the contact action stays smooth cycle after cycle.
The conduit opening is shaped for straightforward cable entry. Wiring time on the panel stays short, and the gland seals the entry to the IP65 level of the rest of the housing.
Adjustable levers let the arm length set the operating force. Catalog reference values show HL-5030 dropping to 3.09N at a 75mm arm, and HL-5050 reaching 1.60N at a 145mm rod.
The head, box and cover mate along ridged surfaces. The interlocking faces keep the assembled unit rigid and maintain its strength under repeated actuation.
Lever, plunger and spring heads all mount on the same body. One series covers direct strikers, lateral approach and multi-direction triggers across a whole machine line.
WHERE HL FITS
Forming equipment drives its slides and rams to fixed stops, and striker depth varies with die wear. The large overtravel head takes the extra stroke and keeps switching action consistent.
Light-duty conveyor lines flag package positions with rollers and paddles of mixed heights. Spring and lever heads forgive the height spread, so one switch point handles varied product flow.
QUICK MODEL SELECTION GUIDE
Â
01
The striker moves vertically onto the head along a fixed path. Plunger models give a precise operating position, and the sealed version suits dustier stations.
02
A cam or striker sweeps the lever from the side. Fixed, adjustable and large-roller levers cover different sweep widths and approach angles.
03
The trigger arrives from shifting directions or with heavy bounce. Coil spring and spring wire heads respond from any direction at a light 1.47N.
04
The cam keeps traveling well past the operating point. Every lever model carries 50° minimum overtravel, so the extra stroke is absorbed inside the head reserve and the mechanism stays smooth.
